A modern hydrotherapy center was inaugurated in the tourist city of Meshkinshahr, northwestern Ardebil province, on Friday. A budget of 160 billion rials ($3.8 million at the official exchange rate of 42,000 rials per dollar) was allocated to the project, the provincial tourism chief announced during the inauguration ceremony. Situated in the Qutursui tourist area, the center has the most acidic mineral spa in the world, CHTN quoted Nader Fallahi as saying. Water for the hydrotherapy center is sourced from hot water springs in the area, which is beneficial for skin ailments, the official added. This new complex, which features separate sections for women and men, will allow Meshkinshahr to attract more tourists from abroad and grow its tourism industry twice as fast as before, he noted. Meshkinshahr embraces several historical sites including Qale Khohneh (“Old Castle”), the ancient site of Shahr-e Yeri, and Qahqaheh castle. Situated near the high Mount Sabalan, Meshkinshahr enjoys a moderate mountainous climate and the Sabalan summit can be seen in the south of the city with eye-catching sceneries. The antiquity of the city dates back to the early centuries of Islam but in the Safavid era, it was thriving even more. The city is well known for its rugs and its mineral springs. Meshkinshahr suspension bridge with 345 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 80 meters high, which was inaugurated in 2015 and is said to be the largest of its kind in West Asia, is also one of the top tourist destinations of the city.

With so much confusion about what’s open and what’s not, being an ambassador means guiding guests through this uncertainty as early in the customer journey as possible. 3. Physically getting to an accommodation booked through a home-sharing platform is mostly a laissez-faire ordeal. So, why can’t hotels offer bespoke, point-to-point guidance on transportation to and from the rail station or airport, as well as recommendations on how to get to the city or region? This project has been created in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Faculty of Geotechnics from the University of Zagreb, and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. Environmental impact of hotels During the presentation of this project, the Deputy Director of the Fund Alenka Košiša Čičin-Šain explained that hotels are one of the most important stakeholders in tourism; what is more, their operations have a significant impact on our environment. For this reason, they must reform their way of doing business and turn to more sustainable methods. Košiša Čičin-Šain further commented on the project’s aims noting: “We have been dealing with waste management in the Fund for years. Croatia has obligations that it must achieve in accordance with EU and national legislation, so by 2022, it is necessary to collect 40% of the mass of produced biowaste separately. This pilot project is aimed at reducing food waste, but also at proper separate collection and disposal of waste.” What are the goals of the project? Through “Reduce food waste, cook for your guests” the aforementioned bodies seek to encourage both staff and guests to be mindful of the way their actions impact the environment. More specifically, hotel guests must be inspired to correct their eating habits so that they do not fill their plates with more food than they are planning to consume. In this way and with these simple actions, people can contribute to the significant reduction of food waste. Maja Feketić from the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency further highlighted that hotels from other countries have taken up similar projects, achieving a 30% reduction of food waste. Feketić notes that this will not only help reduce the negative impact on the environment but it will also result in large financial savings. The “Reduce food waste, cook for your guests” pilot project will take place during the summer until the end of September in two Croatian hotels in Pula and Osijek. After September, its results will be made public so that people can understand how simple actions can make a difference.

Fire fighters and civil defence teams managed to rescue 78 people after the blaze inside the four-story Dai Al Hussain Hotel in the centre of the city. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed, although authorities said an investigation has been opened. “A girl died in hospital due to smoke inhalation which caused her to suffocate despite attempts to resuscitate her,” civil defence statement said. There have been numerous fires in Iraq this year, including in a Covid-19 facility in the southern city of Nasiriyah in Dhi Qar governorate, which killed more than 60 people. Police have said the blaze at Al Hussein hospital earlier this month was due to faulty wiring that caused an oxygen tank to explode. Citizens blame corruption, negligence and mismanagement in various sectors of government for the disasters. Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi ordered the arrest of top health officials last week, following the deadly fire in Nasiriyah. President Barham Salih and Mr Al Kadhimi blamed the fire on negligence cause by corruption and political interference in the management of the hospital, and vowed to take action. Iraq's former health minister, Hassan Al Timimi, resigned in April following a fire in Baghdad's Ibn Al Khateeb hospital that killed at least 82 people. Most of them were Covid-19 patients who needed ventilators to help them breathe. The cause of the fire was also an oxygen tank explosion. The coronavirus pandemic has put a heavy strain on Iraq's health services. Before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic hospitals across the country were already struggling to provide patients with a good standard of care. The healthcare system has been affected by years of mismanagement, a lack of accountability, violence and factionalism since the US-led invasion in 2003, and before that by years of sanctions.

Global recognition for international travel of all vaccines authorised for use and deemed safe and effective by the WHO or by the WHO recognised SRAs.A data driven, risk-based and internationally harmonised approach to re-establishing freedom of movement, that is consistent across countries, easy to communicate and clearly understood by travellers.Global adoption of ‘digital health passes’ which enable travellers to easily obtain and verify their vaccination status, negative COVID test result or natural immunity from a previous infection. These must work with existing border control and travel operator systems accepted by all countries. Digital verification of a traveller’s COVID status prior to travel will avoid lengthy and unsafe queues in transport hubs and terminals.Continued implementation of high-quality health and safety standards throughout all areas of the Travel & Tourism sector, including continued adoption of the WTTC’s Safe Travel Protocols and Safe Travel Stamp, with the continued wearing of face masks in crowded and enclosed areas as well as on all forms of public transport. WTTC advocates the full implementation of these proportionate and responsible guidelines for travel during over the next few months, as many travel restrictions begin being eased as major travel markets begin to reopen.This is against the backdrop of a successful vaccination roll out, with a subsequent decrease in deaths, cases, and hospitalisations in many countries. The congress is being held in five specialized panel discussions of medical tourism, sports tourism, natural, wellness, and food tourism, medical and laboratory equipment, and nutrition and healthy food. The event started its official operations in 2015 with the aim of playing an effective role in developing economic relations and facilitating the networks between stakeholders in the health and health tourism industry. The developing health tourism industry is one of the most important fields of Iran’s travel sector, which is trying to prove its capabilities and capacities in attracting medical and health tourists to the country. It is a gathering place for prayers five times a day, an Islamic college, and an emergency shelter for travelers. Built-in the mid-17th century during the reign of Shah Abbas II, the mosque is named after its constructer who was a physician (“Hakim” in Persian). The mosque has no monumental entry, but five different minor entries. Frequently, a mosque is also used as a shortcut for another destination beyond the place of worship. Although the penetration of the mosque walls may take many forms, the primary destination is always the same. It is a courtyard that can be called a monumental space. The mosque also contains amenities, such as washrooms and toilets, for public use. Isfahan has long been nicknamed as Nesf-e-Jahan which is translated into “half the world”; meaning seeing it is relevant to see the whole world. In its heyday, it was also one of the largest cities in the region with a population of nearly one million. The cool blue tiles of Isfahan's Islamic buildings, and the city's majestic bridges, contrast perfectly with the encircling hot, dry Iranian countryside. The huge Imam Square, best known as Naghsh-e Jahan Sq. (literary meaning “Image of the World”), is one of the largest in the world (500m by 160m), and a majestic example of town planning.
