The European Commission has unveiled a multi-step plan to reopen borders, airports and hotels in the summer to save the tourism industry from the crisis.
Under the proposed plan, travel restrictions between EU member states, which have similar conditions in terms of the number of people infected with the coronavirus, will be reduced.
Online purchase of tickets, reduced number of passengers in vehicles, use of masks, access to disinfecting gels during travel and no drink and food service on airplanes and ships are among the proposals of the European Commission.
A reduction in the number of employees has also been proposed.
